You may be one of the many who have felt like you’ve been in a storm these last 18 months. For starters, we've never dealt with something like Covid before, nor the many consequences that have resulted. We long for our regular activities that have been shut down or altered, and we just want things to get back to “normal.”

But perhaps you have actually discovered blessings in the shut down of normal! Remember Romans 8:28 : “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

For those who tend to live life somewhat distracted, it’s my hope that this time of "confinement" has helped you to draw more closely to the Lord! In our times, it's also vital to get into His Word more, because we must be prepared and ready for the battle! Take Ephesians 6:13 to heart ~ “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

You see, it's not just about Covid; there are all kinds of problems that routinely occur outside of one virus. People still have accidents, serious illness, grief, relationship issues, financial difficulties and personal battles of all kinds. Sometimes you feel like you’re sinking!

But if you are walking with Jesus, you don’t have to be swept up by the storm that is swirling in and around your life. You can be in the eye of the storm; and oh let me tell you, that is a very different place!

In the eye of the storm, Jesus is right there with you, holding you gently in his powerful arms of protection. All is calm and peace, and the only thing you hear is the whisper of His reassuring voice. So let yourself sink into His shoulder and receive His love. Listen...

He whispers, “I’ve got you. Just lean on Me. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Trust Me. Don’t rely on what you think you know, but in all things acknowledge Me, and I will lead you safely through the storm. And know this My precious one: I love you more than you can ever imagine, and I always will!”
